AI Barometer Release Event
On 26 June, we unveiled the 2025 AI Barometer, launched by Fintech Belgium in partnership with Sailpeak at Silversquare North. Based on the insights from 13 major institutions including BNP Paribas Fortis, KBC, Belfius, and Ethias, the new AI barometer reveals a sector-wide pivot from experimentation to a more strategic imperative.
With 85% of financial institutions now operating dedicated AI units, the focus has shifted toward ROI, productivity gains, and process efficiency. As AI further matures, the AI barometer identified a new emerging set of primary execution technicalities, including integrating AI into existing systems and getting business support and readiness for a large-scale change.
