Event Content Manager Internship > Mid-August until end of December

Your responsibilities :

• Assist your manager (only working part-time) in his responsibility of content creation and management for the Digital Finance Summit: identify content needs and manage content development process end-to-end including project management, event agenda, speakers research and management pre- during and post-event.

• Assist in the creation of the event agenda with key stakeholders to optimise attendee flow, speaker skills, and event goals and objectives

• Speakers management:

  • Research of speakers: find contact details, cold calling, attract available speakers, negotiate.

  • Reception of spontaneous speakers application, assist in the assessment and selection of speakers, negotiate

Job Description Form

  • Speaker admin (time and logistical details/needs confirmation, registration, bio and picture reception, ppts reception, check, assessment and improvement)

  • Update event agenda according to speakers availabilities, cancellations and confirmations: internally (communication manager, and the rest of the team) and externally (website)

  • Measure results (evaluations, attendance, feedback) on all content and communicate findings back to key stakeholders.

  • Modify processes to adopt best practices and incorporate feedback as appropriate

    This includes:

  • Scheduling and running conference calls and meetings with key stakeholders including meeting agendas, resources and meeting notes

  • Keeping a clear communication

  • Project management (including keeping track and being responsible for the respect of the planning, reminders to your own manager, …)

  • Dealing with VIPs speakers (Ministers, regulators, etc)

  • D-Day: be the speakers manager and referent, make sure all speakers are present, where and when they need, …

Your profile / Qualifications :

  • Excellent writing skills in both English and minimum one of the National languages (French/Dutch)

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written, assertive

  • Multi-tasking is your thing

  • Outstanding people-skills, extravert

  • Structured, organised

  • Dynamic and resourceful

  • Love and take responsibilities, proactive

  • Can work independently and deliver in due time according to the planning

  • Full availability and flexibility from 16/11 until 25/11

  • Computer-savvy

  • Background knowledge in financial technologies is a plus

What we offer:

• As an intern, you will be fully in charge of the content management for our Digital Finance Summit, you will report directly to Xavier Corman, Director of Fintech Belgium. The goal is for you to be mentored on various aspects of content management, from the creation of a relevant interesting agenda for this annual event, to the management of speaker logistics on the big day. In addition, you will get a privileged insight into how a small NGO works and have the opportunity of working with a friendly, helpful and dynamic team!
