BeCentral opens new 4th floor above Brussels’ Central Station, expanding to 10,500 sqm!
In a significant milestone for Brussels' technology scene, BeCentral has revealed its newly opened fourth floor situated above Brussels’ Central Station. With an additional 3000 square meters, BeCentral now covers a total area of 10,500 square meters, establishing itself as the largest TechHub in Brussels. This expansion underscores BeCentral's dedication to fostering innovation and collaboration within the technology community.
The newly opened floor comprises designed offices, classrooms, and dynamic communal areas, which will serve as a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and startups alike. Designed by the talented Maxime De Campenaere, the space embodies a mix of various influences, with shapes inspired by Paul Otlet and a colour palette that reflects the ocean.
With over 1,800 residents and 70 organisations now affiliated with BeCentral, the tech hub remains a dynamic hub of innovation and cooperation. At the opening ceremony, Charlene Crespel, CEO of BeCentral, Celine Vaessen, Chairwoman of BeCentral, and Stephanie Cox, CEO of Proximus Ada, delivered the opening speeches.
The opening event also featured a super interesting panel discussion "European Tech Hubs on Stage" moderated by Robin Wauters, CEO of Tech.eu, with special guests: Anni Anttonen from Maria 01, Juan Manuel Baselga Iturzaeta from Tech Barcelona, Julien Marbouty from H7 Lyon, and Charlene Crespel, CEO of BeCentral. The panel highlighted the importance of the ecosystems in the development of startups and the industry as a whole. It was fascinating to discover how each guest developed differently, but they are all driven by the same love for connecting the community and creating value and sustainable innovation!
