Febelfin Academy Yearly Event 2024 “Learning beyond boundaries”.
Febelfin Academy hosted its exciting yearly event “Learning Beyond Boundaries”, where professionals from the financial sector came together to explore the future of learning and celebrate achievements within the industry. The evening was packed with interactive workshops, insightful discussions, and a festive atmosphere!
The afternoon started with three interactive workshops: facilitation of learning through technology with Vickie Dekocker, Senior Expert Education & Job Market at Agoria, and Annelies Volckaert, researcher at Edtech Station, the use of regenerative AI in leadership with Alex Whiteleather, Managing Director at Abilitie, Niels Jansen, Regional Director Europe at Abilitie, and Melanie Lepine, Global Onboarding Lead at CBRE, and a workshop on how to create a sector-wide qualification framework with Jonathan McConnell, Director of Education at IOB University College Dublin.
In the evening, the focus turned to the presentation of the 'Best Lecturer Awards.' Among the recipients was Kjeld Herreman, Head of Strategy Advisory at RedCompass Labs who received the “2023 finance & banking best lecturer award” for his Certified Payments Professional Training.
Kjel's journey with Febelfin Academy was facilitated through Fintech Belgium, a valued partner of Febelfin Academy. Both organisations have worked together to organise trainings and panels to raise awareness about the fintech industry among students, such as the panel discussion on Innovation and Trends in the Qualified Payments Expert Programme. Moreover, their collaboration extends to partnerships at the Digital Finance Summit (DFS), and exclusive rates for Fintech Belgium members to participate in various trainings and courses at Febelfin Academy.
The evening featured welcoming remarks by Wien De Geyter, Chairwoman of Febelfin Academy, and insights into the future of learning from Ann Vanlommel, Managing Director of Febelfin Academy, who shared the results of the yearly survey.
